Lateral Lining System

Masterliner’s INSTA“T” Pipe Lining System provides a watertight service connection seal that is structurally sound and rock hard.

STEP 1: The INSTA "T" lateral lining train assembly:

	A pre-cast plastic "T" fitting, made to closely match the geometry of the service lateral connection, is coated with resin and then mounted to the main bladder opening on the train. The MASTERFLEX CIPP liner is impregnated with resin and then positioned inside the carrier train.

STEP 2: The INSTA "T" train is positioned at the service connection:

A winch pulls the train through the mainline to the service connection to be repaired. An articulating robot precisely lines up the main bladder opening so that it is directly facing the service connection.
Train is attached to an articulating robot which will line up the main bladder with the service connection.

STEP 3: The sealing process:

	Air pressure pushes the INSTA "T" into the service connection. The MASTERFLEX liner is inverted from the mainline through the pre-cast plastic fitting then into the service connection. The specially formulated MASTERFLEX resin is allowed to cure without adding heat.
	Inner bladder inflates out of the main bladder, inverting the MASTERFLEX liner into the service connection.

STEP 4: Completion of the installation:

The inversion bladder is deflated and the positioning tool removed from the main line. Repair of the defective connection is complete. The process results in a watertight service connection seal and a structurally sound, rock hard connection.
